About us
AMG Shooting Academy & Range, a concept developed for individuals and groups of all abilities to train & compete in a purpose-built safe environment. We offer participants the opportunity to take part in a huge variety of shooting styles.
AMG Shooting Academy was founded on one key but very important mantra, to provide training, knowledge, skills and mindset for a safe and effective, professional, recreational and defensive shooting environment.
Our shooting ranges and facilities are designed for shooters all abilities. AMG provides unique experiences that build confidence and skills in all aspects of shooting and firearms with a primary focus on safety.
AMG offer a wide variety of training disciplines that include courses from complete novice to seasoned professionals. Our courses include Handgun, Rifle and Shotgun based on Tactical, Sports and Defensive shooting styles.
Our UK based events & courses are designed to develop skills, safety concepts, an understanding of firearms, test abilities and techniques using 6mm training weapons (RIF’s).

What we do
OUR RANGE
Our purpose-built UK range offers an environment to learn and shoot safely using a variety of 6mm training weapons. Take part in a course or event, alternatively book some time to improve your skills.
TACTICAL
AMG offer NATO certified instruction on a wide variety of tactical shooting styles to groups & individuals. Whether you want to just “team build” or progress to a professional level we have events & courses to meet most needs.
DEFENSIVE
Regular Sports based Defensive shooting competition events & classes are held at the Academy and Range. Move and Shoot, Run & Gun styles using 6mm training weapons gives the participants a dynamic and safe experience.
OVERSEAS
AMG have partnered with locations around the world and offer shooting experiences, events and certified courses in tactical & sports defensive shooting styles. All of our overseas next level training is carried out using full bore live ammunition.

AT THE RANGE
The AMG Shooting Academy Range was designed and constructed to enable participants to experience a wide variety of shooting styles in a dynamic & safe environment. Set in 24 acres of managed woodland the natural surroundings lend themselves exceptionally well to tactical and sports defensive shooting.
The range boasts COF bays, Arena bays, CQB Kill-house and a 125m long gun bay. These bays are used for training, instruction, courses, events, competitions and for private hire.
Safe off-road parking, toilets and washrooms plus full catering options are available on site.

6mm Training Weapon
RIF’s (replica imitation firearm) or 6mm training weapons are often compared to airsoft guns. Thanks to technological development and investment by industry leaders & manufacturers 6mm training weapons are now used worldwide by civilian, military and professionals alike.
Our 6mm training weapons are specifically produced for firearms training purposes and have been constructed to give precise trigger pull, recoil and round counts. The weapons match weight plus the fit and feel of their real steel counterparts, so training can give a 1 to 1 feel.
Training weapons are low velocity smooth-bore airguns that fire non-metallic spherical projectiles. They have low muzzle energy ratings and have significantly less penetrative and stopping powers when compared to other training platforms, therefore making them ideal for use in the UK.

Shooting & Safety
Safe handling is our primary objective during training, paired with clear and precise instruction we can build on skills and techniques, our approach is to install a firm respect for all types of firearms during training and use.
All of the AMG courses include breakdowns and details including any prerequisites and equipment required. We are able to offer a fully certified training program with our EBSSA affiliated tactical courses taught in the UK & Serbia to a NATO-ATON accredited standard. We are happy to discuss individual needs and potentially tailor a course to suit.
AMG also holds regular sport-based competitions which are dynamic events that test accuracy, speed and strategic thinking using 6mm training weapons. Competitors navigate various COF’s(stages) with different scenarios, barricades and target arrays “earning points” for hitting designated zones and completing challenges while avoiding penalties. These competitions are approved & mirror real world shooting like the IDPA, 3GN, ASSF &
Tactical -Fitness.
Team events will also be held, fast paced, objective based formats focused on speed and accuracy. Competitors must plan their movements, magazine changes and target prioritisation to optimise their performance.
AMG and Kong Combat Krav Maga also instruct hand to hand combat techniques to a certified standard and run a variety of Boot Camp style events throughout the year.
